These are above-ground steel vertical hermetic cylindrical vessels of different heights and diameters, designed for receiving, storing and dispensing various liquids (water, liquid food or aggressive chemical products, mineral fertilizers, oil products).
Large volumes of product are stored in vertical steel tanks: from 100m³ to 100,000m³.
Structurally, such a tank consists of a shell, bottom, roof, hatches, branch pipes and auxiliary structures: stairs, service platforms, etc.
The construction process consists of several stages:1) Design. The vertical tank is a bespoke building structure, so it all starts with a design. We prepare for our customers a complete package of design documentation with KIWA approval. With each tank you will receive calculation results and detailed drawings for subsequent installation.
2) Fabrication of the tanks metal structures. This process consists of:
- Preparation of metal sheets, including processing of edges for welding
- Bending of metal sheets of the shell to the design radius
- Manufacture of manholes and branch pipes
- Welding of auxiliary structures in the most shop-ready form, taking into account the possibility of transportation
- Packaging for delivery to the construction site
3) Installation. At the construction site, the bottom, wall and roof of the tank are welded from prepared sheets. Next, hatches, pipes and auxiliary structures are mounted. Then the anti-corrosion treatment measures are carried out.
